About this app

Compute Atlas follows the computing economy as one chain. The chain starts at the mine and moves through tools, fabs, parts and builds before it reaches the public markets. Each stage is a step you can select, so a price at the end of the chain leads back to a physical constraint at the start.

The overview opens with price indices for graphics cards, memory and storage, beside the cost of a complete AI workstation build. Each index carries its own trend line and its own unit, for example the price per benchmark point or the price per terabyte. The panels next to them cover data-centre electricity demand and the most constrained material in the chain.

Named sections go further than the overview. Materials and the Price Explorer hold the raw inputs and the price history. Build Lab assembles a machine from parts, and Scenario Lab changes the assumptions behind a figure. Listed companies connects the hardware to the public market, and the Glossary and Methodology pages explain each term and each source.

The app labels its own data. A badge marks the figures as illustrative, a panel reports the reference date and how many sources are connected, and the app states that it exists to teach how the supply chain works and is not investment advice.
